Are you an Athlete? Do you have IBS? Do you like Chocolate?

The importance of a good Probiotic: Our Probiotic E505 has been clinically proven to be active in the gut where it is required, after its transit through the stomach. The truth is, most probiotics don’t survive the acids in the stomach and never reach the gut to do their work.

A probiotic is best described as “A live microbial supplement which beneficially affects the host by improving its intestinal microbial balance”. An unhealthy gut is one with an overgrowth of unwelcome bacteria, upsetting the balance resulting in a “leaky gut”. Intestinal flora is the first line of defence against intestinal infections, and probiotics support healthy intestinal flora.

Foods grown commercially are known to be desperately deficient in nutrients due to inadequate levels in our farm soils. So before we even eat any food, we are facing a deficit in nutrition, and if our guts are inefficient at absorbing whatever is left in the food, we are simply adding to the problem. Linus Pauling, the 2 times Nobel prize winner, was famous for stating: “You can trace every sickness, every disease and every ailment to a mineral deficiency”. At the very least, we should at least be ensuring that we absorb the goodness from the food we are eat.

A study of athletes at Freiburg University using our Probiotic demonstrated better performance, improved immune responses, and return to resting levels was accelerated in the regeneration period.

There have also been countless studies on the positive effects of Probiotics after a course of antibiotics. James Gallagher, the Health and Science reporter for the BBC has recently highlighted the possible link between Parkinsons and unhealthy bacteria in the gut. Probiotics have been cited as a possible solution. The significant side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy have been shown to be reduced with the help of probiotics. The list goes on.

Caprylic Acid: is known to inhibit the growth of detrimental yeasts including candida albicans in the intestines, and has been carefully created to cleanse and regulate the gut. One capsule to be taken twice daily for one month away from food

The contents are as follows:

Coenzyme Q10: facilitates the elimination of candida albicans

Peppermint: Peppermint improves the function of the intestines

Slippery elm: Slippery elm alleviates diarrhoea, alleviates heartburn by coating and "smoothing" the irritated upper gastrointestinal tract.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon exerts anthelmintic (parasite killing) activity against ascaris (a type of Roundworm). It suppresses some forms of detrimental bacteria, it inhibits the growth of some forms of detrimental yeasts and moulds, it inhibits the growth of aflatoxin and the growth of candida albicans

Garlic: Garlic kills many strains of Detrimental Bacteria (i.e. it acts as a natural anti-biotic)

Pau d’arco: Pau D’Arco helps to remove Candida Albicans and is known to kill/suppress various types of detrimental microorganisms

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera inhibits various types of detrimental bacteria from residing within the gut.

Grapefruit seed: Grapefruit seed extract kills or suppresses many (more than 900) types of detrimental microorganisms and inhibits the growth of many types of detrimental bacteria.

Lemon grass: Lemon Grass inhibits the proliferation of candida albicans

Glutamine: Glutamine is known to prevent bacterial & viral diseases. It enhances the ability of neutrophils (cells of the immune system) to destroy detrimental bacteria.

I need to say a few words about sugar. Refined sugar (sucrose) is a poison and should be avoided. Here is a brief list of the damaging effects to the digestion:

  • A high consumption of sucrose may cause Appendicitis.
  • It may be implicated as a possible cause of Crohn’s Disease and 80% of Crohn’s patients who adopt a sucrose-free diet achieve an improvement in symptoms after eighteen months.
  • A high consumption of sucrose may increase the risk of Gallstones.
  • A high consumption of sucrose may irritate the Stomach.
  • A high consumption of sucrose may increase the risk of Ulcerative Colitis

Not to mention the damage it causes to the cardiovascular system, the body’s metabolism, the immune system, our vision, the quality of our skin and the obvious link to diabetes!
