Skin – an Introduction to beneficial nutrients

This is the largest organ of the body and is made up of many components. Our skin replaces itself every 27 days. It is recognising the skin turnover of new cells and the differing functions and forms our skin takes that we would be sensible to provide adequate nutrients to our skin.
Our skin is made up of about 70% water, 25% protein, minerals 2% and vitamins under 1% and other materials make up the rest. We can understand how important good quality and adequate water is to our skin health.
