Plants Dont Make Nutrients

Plants Dont Make Nutrients

The quality of our soil is directly related to our health because plants do not inherently contain any nutrients other than those extracted from the soil. Commercial farming has had a dramatic effect on the nutritional value of our soil:

Causes of deficient soil:

-  Intensive Farming: We take out far more nutrients than we put back

-  Pesticides and Insecticides further upset probiotic, micro-organism and ecological balance in the soil

-  Food Processing then dramatically reduces the mineral content of food further – as much as 80%!

How Significant is this?

Dr Evert Koop, the former US Surgeon General stated: 15 out of 21 deaths are related to nutrition. Quite a statement from a medical professional who would not normally have an opinion on nutrition!

Most human disease can be related to nutritional deficiencies and it is virtually impossible to eat sufficient “live” food to satisfy our nutritional needs for optimum health. So should we take supplements? Absolutely, as long as they are in food (foodstate) form that the body can absorb use and retain properly, which excludes 98% of supplements that are in synthetic/chemical form.
