Are You Doing Veganuary?

Whether you are or not, giving your body a break from heavy, high protein food typical of the festive period is a very good idea

Some Basic Helpful Tips:

Raw Food: If you are a meat-eater, then try at the very least, to have several meat-free days and eat lots of raw foods, especially green veg and salads. As a habit throughout the year, try to eat a minimum of 20% of your food in raw form

Water: How much water should you drink? If your urine is not clear you are not drinking sufficient water. As an adult you should be drinking 1.5 to 2.5 litres per day, depending on your size, and preferably either bottled or from a water filter. It’s estimated that 30 – 35% of modern disease processes are caused by low or poor quality water intake

Kidneys: Water irrigates and cleanses the kidneys and acts as a carrier vehicle for the kidneys' excretion of toxins from the body, so the quality of water is paramount. Kidney stones may be prevented by drinking sufficient water. Low water intake or poor quality water can cause low energy and lethargy

The Gut: If you are feeling sluggish and a bit overweight then try these 2 products, they are incredibly helpful as part of a healthy start to the year:

  • Probiotic E505: As well as improving the immune system, research has shown that our beneficial probiotic bacteria help improve our resistance to numerous digestive imbalances, including constipation, diarrhoea, IBS and acidosis

  • Caprylic Acid: Caprylic Acid is a healthy fat and multi-herb product that helps to eliminate candida from the gut and cleanse the digestive tract including the colon. Candida is very prevalent today due to excessive sugar consumption, and it is damaging to our digestion and our health in general

Weight gain: Avoid faddish diets, they don’t work. Changing eating habits - avoiding too much dairy / meat protein / processed food, and eating more “live” food is a much better long-term solution, and cleansing the gut is an important starting point to benefitting from a healthier diet
